AGRA Kaduna Consortium Project

*AGRA Kaduna Consortium is making waves in Kaduna State with a game-changing initiative to boost agricultural productivity and resilience!*
As part of commitment to empower farmers with necessary resources, the AGRA Kaduna Consortium project led NAERLS distributed 9 sets of water pumps and accessories to selected Community Based Advisors to improve productivity and increase their resilience. This initiative aims to boost their productivity and yield, increase resilience and efficiency and provide opportunities for additional income generation.
Through this intervention around 2000 smallholders’ farmers and cooperative members are expected to benefit from the services of the water pumps through rental services. Thus, is expected to have a positive impact on the livelihoods of the beneficiaries and their communities in the various benefiting LGAs in Kaduna State.
This effort is also anticipated to have significant effect on the production and output of farmers in the dry season farming communities across the four LGAs, Zaria, Makarfi, Igabi and Sabongari. During the event, the project also demonstrated the usage and utilization of water pumps and equipped the participants with skills of water pumps machine calibration, maintenance and operation and management
